My Best Advice
Stay married—if you can.
If not, find a caring, experienced, knowledgeable family law attorney who matches your personality – someone in whom you instinctively feel confident and trust. Find the attorney who gives you good advice, even when you might not want to hear it!
Melissa & Alexia:
First of all, we want to thank you both for the exceptional work you have done on our son’s case since November 2014. It has, to say the least, been the most difficult time of our lives, physically, emotionally and financially. The never-ending compassion and unfailing belief in our son to obtain his having custody of our grandson and your actions to protect our grandson’s safety is beyond what we ever expected.
Although we live far from our son and grandson and only spoke and met with Melissa a few times, we still felt that we knew her personally through what our son told us about her. Her expertise and compassion for the rights of children is exceptional. We also look forward to meeting Alexia Pittas, the amazing trial consultant, one day. We must “put a face to the voice on the other end of the phone.” The two of you make a great team!
Lastly, we want to express our great thanks. I know our son considers both of you and your team more than his attorney, trial consultant and staff. Now, all of you are his life long friends.
Take care, and may God continue to bless you in all you do.

I appreciate the extra time you put into helping people ‘cross thresholds to new lives.’ You put people’s stress levels at a manageable range of tolerance. I appreciate your gentle prodding.

As a fellow attorney, I appreciated it when she responded quickly after I contacted her about an article she wrote several years ago. The article was on COBRA and I was able to use that article to keep health insurance for my client.
